Dr. Ivan Bos was born and raised in the Niagara Peninsula. His passions for animals at a young age led him to pursue a career in veterinarian medicine.
After graduating in 2001 from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Dr. Bos worked in two mixed animal practices in the Niagara Region. He then purchased a small animal practice that he operated and practiced veterinarian medicine for five years before starting Balfour Animal Hospital in the fall of 2011.
Dr. Bos enjoys the interaction and development of relationships with clients and their pets that a small animal practice offers. In addition he strives to provide exemplary veterinarian medicine in a compassionate and professional manner. His interests include internal medicine and orthopedics. Dr. Bos is one of the few veterinarians in Ontario that is certified to do Stem Cell Transplant Therapy. Dr. Bos also has a gift and love for operating and maintaining a small business.
Dr. Bos' wife, Melissa and two children, Kaelyn and Jacob also enjoy spending time at the clinic…don't be surprised if you see a few junior helpers from time to time!
When not at the clinic, Dr. Bos enjoys spending quality time with his family. They love caring for their pets (2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 horses) as well as playing board games and going camping. Dr. Bos' Yamaha FJR motorcycle is a close second to his family!
